This 3-day training program teaches delegates about ionizing radiation and effective management strategies for radiation materials. It focuses on minimizing safety and environmental impacts, evaluating exposure risks, and adhering to local regulations UAE-FANR and IAEA.

Designed for Radiation Protection Officers and organizational staff, it equips participants with the knowledge and skills to ensure safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility in their professional responsibilities.

By Completing the course you can become a Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) for Radiology & X-ray devices for medical facilities specially designed for Physicians, Nurses, Dental assistants, Radiography Technicians, safety officers & other technical staff.

This course covers

The main focus of the course program is to be certified and eligible to be a Radiation Protection Officer for healthcare facilities under UAE FANR-regulated medical devices. Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will be able to:

• Understand the role of RPO and employees

• Acknowledge the IAEA Code of Practices and Safety standards

• Acknowledge UAE-FANR radiation protection regulations

• Acknowledge radiation units and principals of facilities & individual monitoring.

• Understand the Survey for site and role measuring.

• Discover the biological impacts of radiation exposure on personnel

• Execute and develop radiation protection control procedures (ALARA).

• Developing ERP and handling radiation emergency

• The concept of radiation risk management

• Discuss the types of industrial applications for radiation sources and safety equipment.

• Understand the safe transport of radioactive materials.
